Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral

Located in the center of Buenos Aires, the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana de Buenos Aires) has been around in one form or another since 1580 when the plot of land was set aside for a church. Today, the Buenos Aires Cathedral consists of a main altar and another 13 chapels and altars, as well as a crypt in the basement level.
