With a surface area of 9.9 million square Kms, Canada is the second largest country in the world. Rated by the United Nations as having the highest quality of living in the world, Canada is a great place to live by many accounts, if you don’t mind the cold, the rain, or the high taxes. Canada is home to people from all over the globe, with a total population of about 30 million people, it is vastly under populated compared to other countries, this is mainly due to the fact that most of the surface area is still wilderness and as natural as it ever was with amazing Canada photos, yet the cities are among the most modern on the planet.
Having lived in Canada since 1997, I have been lucky enough to see most of the major centers of the country, as well as been to all provinces. It is just mind blowing how big this country is, and how natural most it still is. Yet, perhaps one of the most prominent characteristics of Canada, is the multicultural and global character of it’s population, where a large proportion of the population was not born in Canada, or is within a first generation of Canada. This gives the country a unique advantage, where it get the best of many cultures.
