Saint Catherine's Monastery

One of the oldest working monasteries in the world, Saint Catherine’s Monastery (Μονὴ τῆς Ἁγίας Αἰκατερίνης, دير سانت كاترين) is an orthodox Christian monastery that has been in this area since between 527-565 AD. Saint Catherine’s monastery then had multiple names until it was named after Catherine of Alexandria. One insteresting feature about Saint Catherine’s monastery is that it also contains a small mosque, which is not really used since it’s direction is not set correctly.
