At around 1450 meters high, Mount Seymour is not that high of a mountain, but what makes it interesting is that it site right on the edge of North Vancouver, and is reachable within 20-30 minutes drive from the city. Mount Seymour is located within Mount Seymour Provincial Park. There are many activities that can be done on Mount Seymour all year round, from skiing and snowshoeing in the winter to hiking in the summer. Mount Seymour was opened for skiing in 1937 and has since been a popular skiing destination in winter. Most of our visits to Mount Seymour are in the winter where we snowshoe to the peaks of Mount Seymour or to dog mountain which is an easy hike with magnificent views of Vancouver.
