Located about 100 kms away from Halifax, Lunenburg is a UNESCO world heritage site, and is visited by thousands of tourists each year. Lunenberg was founded around 1755. Like many other Nova Scotia towns, it was fought over by many different European settlers, and has seen a few battles. Throughout the years, Lunenberg gained a good reputation for building good quality wooden ships.
