The Louisbourg fortress is an 18th century French fortress located near the town of Louisbourg. The Louisbourg fortress started as a settlement in 1713, and had a few names until it was finally named as the Louisbourg fortress and saw a few battles between the English and French for the control of what is now Canada. Louisbourg Fortress as a very interesting place to go and take photos, especially as it is now a national historic site. Louisbourg fortress was partially reconstructed in the 1960’s.
