Located on the Southern tip of the state of Nevada, Las Vegas is the largest city in that state. The name Las Vegas was based on the Spanish word for meadows, which the areas was known for at the time it was founded. The population of greater Las Vegas is about 1.5 million people, living on a total surface area of about 350 square kilometers.
Las Vegas is dependant on tourism and gambling, and in fact, these two industries drive every other industry in Las Vegas, and with many themed hotels and casinos, Las Vegas photos are always worth looking at.
