The biggest city in Yunnan, Kunming (昆明) is also the capital of that province. Kunming lies at an elevation of 1890m above sea level and so has good weather most of the time with comfortable temperatures. Greater Kunming is about 6000 square Kms and comprises of four city districts. The total population of Kunming is about 6.5 million.
