Hampi (ಹಂಪೆ) is designated as a UNESCO world heritage site for a reason. Hampi is a huge complex that today houses the small village of Hampi, ut was actually called  Vijayanagara, and was the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire.

Hampi is located on the banks of the Tungabhadra river, and is about 350 kms from Bangalore. It requires more than one day visit to do it justice or to take great Hampi Photos.
