What used to be a warehouse and industrial peninsula in Vancouver is now a major market and tourist attraction. Granville Island is a wonderful place to spend the afternoon. You can look through the market stalls in Granville island, eat in one of the many restaurants, or attend one of the two live theatres in Granville Island. There is also a marina in Granville island, from which you can rent boats or take a water taxi.
