At 1480 meters above sea level, Garibaldi Lake is one of the most unique and worthy places to visit in the lower mainland of British Columbia. Garibaldi lake has a surface area of just under 10 square kilometers and a maximum depth of about 250 meters. Garibaldi lake is a relatively easy but long hike from the parking lot which is located about 20 kms away from Whistler in BC. One of the most unique features of Garibaldi lake and one that makes Garibaldi lake photos compelling, is the colour of the water in Garibaldi lake, which is turquoise. Garibaldi lake is located within Garibaldi Provincial Park which is a protected part in BC.
