One of the oldest cities in the United States, Boston was first settled in 1630, and officially founded in 1822. Boston is the capital city of the state of Massachusetts and is also the largest city in that state. Due to its location on the water, Boston photos are always great to look at just as it is to look at Boston itself. Boston was also the scene of most of the American revolution’s milestones, including the Boston massacre, and the Boston tea party. Boston was also the city where the new American constitution was first read to the public. Today, Greater Boston has a population of about 4.5 million people living on around 11,000 square kilometer, and having a population density of about 4,900 people per square kilometer. Boston photos can be seen of many neighbourhoods, many subjects and many scenes. One interesting piece of information about Boston, is that most of what is now considered the waterfront, is actually reclaimed land which didn’t exist in Boston before. Boston is also famous for the Ivy league universities including Harvard and MIT, and is definitely worth visiting. Boston has one of the highest costs of living in the US.
