About 150 miles South of San Francisco, the Big Sur is a stretch of highway 1 which connects San Francisco with Los Angeles. It is almost unrealistic how beautiful the coast in this part of the world is. This 90 mile drive is one of the most beautiful drives I have ever done. It takes about a full day to do the Big Sur properly, because one keeps stopping every five minutes or less to catch the spectacular views of the big Sur.
