Bangkok (กรุงเทพมหานคร) is a true metropolis. Bangkok has everything, it is extremely modern, yet traditional and old in some areas, and is truly an Asian city. With a population of around 12 million, Bangkok is the most densely populated city in Thailand. It is also the capital of Thailand (in case that wasn’t obvious) and serves as both the financial and political center of the country.
