Almost everywhere you walk in whistler village, you see the ski runs, in winter you are able to see the skiers as little dots in the white passages between the trees, while in the summer you see the hikers. Whistler mountain is open almost year round for skiing and snowboarding, of course, the lower hills are no, but the glaciers at the top are almost always open.
You can take the Gondola (Cable car) up to the top of Whistler mountain and see the beautiful views.
