Photos from Varadero - Cuba
The Varadero area of Cuba is exclusively reserved for foreign tourists which account for Cuba's number one industry. The area is very well organized and is off limits to most Cubans. It is said that the toll booths on the highway into Varadero are actually border stations to stop Cubans from coming into Varadero but I haven't seen any evidence of that. The area consists of a peninsula where the original town begins then the tip of that peninsula and to the east begin the many all inclusive resorts such as the Tryp Peninsula hotel resort where we stayed.
We took a quick boat plane flight over the peninsula which shows the look and feel of the area.
The resort is a 5 star all inclusive hotel that provides guests with the most luxury, the main restaurant (left) is located on a small man made pond where the "La Gondola" restaurant sits on the lagoon.
The swimming pool area by night.
William is one of many very talented young entertainment crew at the resort. Or, you can hang out in your room and look outside.
This photo of the beach in Varadero shows the warm crystal clear calm waters of the Varadero beach. Or, just hang out at the pool.
