Vancouver from the air is as beautiful as it is from the ground, downtown is seen from the south (top left), and from the North (top right) with Stanley Park in the front. The Fraser river (left) is the major river that runs through BC and meets the sea between Vancouver and Richmond.

Three mountains hug Vancouver from the North, Mount Seymour (left) has great views of Vancouver, while the Grouse mountain ski runs can be seen from almost anywhere in Greater Vancouver.

Greater Vancouver would not survive without the many bridges that span it's rivers and inlets. These bridges make Vancouver relatively easy to move around (when they are not congested) The Lions gate bridge (above) connects the North Shore with downtown.
