Photos from Sunset bay - Oregon - United States
Partially enclosed by steep sandstone bluffs with a narrow passage to the sea, Sunset Bay was once used by fishing boats and other shallow draft vessels as a safe harbour during ocean storms. It may have offered a haven for pirates, too, according to local lore. Close to Coos Bay and Charleston, Sunset Bay is easy to get to.
There were some really beautiful rocks and rock formations in sunset bay. Cape Arago lighthouse can be seen in the top two photos.
