This house was recently restored to show the the style of old Islamic architecture and homes. The house was built in 1648 by Abdel Wahab el Tablawy and was then purchased in 1796 by Sheikh Ahmed as-Suhaymi, who extended it by integrating several of the adjacent houses. It is located in the middle of Khan El Khalili, one of the oldest parts of Cairo.
