A visit to New Zealand cannot be completed without a visit to Rotorua, It is like no other place. The absolute power of the earth hits you right in the face. In Rotorua you see boiling mud, water, peer into volcanoes, and relax in a hot pool. We went to Wai-O-Tapu (Sacred Waters) where we saw some of the marvels of this thermal wonderland. Everywhere you go in Rotorua, you see steam coming out of somewhere.
The champagne pool is a hot bubbling pool of water that is fascinating to look at.
This Geyser (names Lady Knox) erupts daily and shoots steaming hot water into the sky, shows you the power within the earth.
This boiling mud pool is an example of how the area is just active with energy.
The whole area at Wai-O-Tapu is full of craters that were formed as a result of seismic activities.
