Photos from Nelson - South Island - New Zealand

Located on the North Western tip of the South Island, Nelson has a port from which local forestry timber is shipped. Apples, Pears, grapes, and tobacco are all grown in the Nelson surrounding areas, and are exported to many other places. Nelson also is home to many artists many of whom are attracted to the city by the beautiful setting and climate.

Magnificent views from and to the city are always accompanied by some sort of ocean.

With old colonial charm, Nelson is a very peaceful small town.
