Nara

With a population of about 370,000, Nara is a comparatively small city for Japan. Nara is mainly known for the historic monuments that are designated as a UNESCO world heritage site. Other famous residents of the city are the deer that roam around the park, who are used to having people around, in fact, they actually will chase people around if they see food, and have been known to snatch food from people.
