Photos from Kunming - Yunnan Province - China

Kunming is the capital of Yunnan province, and of course, the biggest city in the province.  It lies at an elevation of 1890m above sea level and so has good weather most of the time with comfortable temperatures. Greater Kunming is about 6000 square Kms and comprises of four city districts.

As with other Chinese cities, the city center of Kunming is a hustle and bustle lights, cars, shops, and people. It's an interesting city with quite a bit to see.

Dian Chi (Lake Dian) just south of Kunming is a very popular attraction. It consists of a park and other lake activities, and is becoming a very popular place for well off Chinese to buy vacation property on the lake.
