Itmad-ud-Daulah
Built around 1625AD, this tomb is home to the remains of Mirza Ghiyas Beg. It was the first river side tomb to be built in India, and many of it’s architectural features were copied during the construction of the Taj Mahal.
Because of the tomb owner’s love for wine, many of the inlays and decorations depicted wine bottles and glasses.
Although not as popular as the Taj Mahal, this is known as the baby Taj or little TajĀ and was the inspiration behind many of the concepts of the Taj Mahal.
