Photos from Hong Kong -
China
I felt Hong Kong is more of a European city than it is Chinese, it's only natural of course since it was a British colony until 1997 when it was returned to China. Hong Kong is a business and trading center for Asia and the world, and you feel that right away as you walk through the downtown streets. It seems that Hong Kong is yet another entity in the world market that is trying to get a share of the mainland Chinese' wallets, this is apparent by the deals that mainland Chinese can get for a "tour" of Hong Kong. However, when they actually reach Hong Kong, the tour consists of a drive around different jewelry and clearance "Duty Free" shops and markets from which of course the tour guides and companies get commissions. These tour companies also employ cheap tactics to sell little souvenirs to these tourists at greatly exaggerated prices.
Two different views of the city from two different peaks, the left from the famous Victoria peak, and the right from a view point near repulse bay.
Daily street views of Hong Kong, while the Finance tower II is the highest building in Hong Kong as well as one of the top 10 in the world.
Two symbols of Hong Kong, this flower at the convention center is supposedly made our of solid gold, while the water ways around Hong Kong are filled with these Hong Kong style vessels.
