96% of Egypt is uninhabited desert, I love the desert. Egypt has all sorts of desert terrains, from sand dunes, to rock hills and mountains. Oases are very exciting too, after driving for 6 hours in the hot sunny desert, it's always a treat to enter an oasis.

Sand, Sand, and more sand, that's all there is, but it's beautiful when you can actually go Sand, Sand, and more sand, that's all there is, but it's beautiful when you can actually go somewhere in Egypt where you are the only group of people for miles around.

You meet camels all over the desert, on the roads, and in the cities, after all that's their environment. Every now and then, you get a reminder of how dangerous and cruel the desert really is, even camels die there.
