Photos from Dali - Yunnan - China

Dali is truly a nice city to relax and enjoy the old town. To the east of Dali is Erhai Hu (Erhai Lake) and the 4000 meter high Cang Shan (Jade Green Mountain). The city itself lies at around 1900m above sea level.  The city has many attractions that are worth the visit.

Because of the mountain environment, the weather around Dali is unpredictable at times and tends to be on the cloudy side close to the mountain.

The best places to stay are around the old town where there are many restaurants and attractions.

It was a surprise, but this church is located in the old town of Dali. It's interesting to find a church in a Chinese style building in an old Chinese town.

Cang mountain is a really nice place to go up while in Dali. There are some really nice hikes and views from the top. The weather is very unpredictable at this mountain however.

Dali is famous for it's tea. Many types of tea are sold here, and they are sold in compressed packages that take up many different shapes and sizes.
